How much does duvet cleaning cost in London?
By Linen Room. Updated 18 October 2026.
In London, professional duvet cleaning typically costs somewhere between about £18 for a single synthetic duvet and £40 or more for a large feather and down duvet, depending on size, filling, whether collection is included, and whether the service washes or dry cleans. Launderette self-service is cheaper per wash but you pay with your own time, and drying is where most DIY attempts fail.
Key facts
- London duvet cleaning typically runs from about £18 (single, synthetic) to £40 or more (large, feather and down), based on published London prices in October 2026.
- Size and filling drive the price; feather and down cost more because of the long dry.
- Linen Room: £25 to £38 by size, whatever the filling, collection free from £49.
What changes the price
Size is the biggest factor. A super king duvet takes more space in the machine and much longer to dry than a single, so it costs more almost everywhere.
Filling comes next. Feather and down need a gentler wash and a long, low-heat dry to recover their loft, so most services charge more for natural fills. Wool and silk are often dry clean only and can cost more again.
Collection and delivery matter too. High-street dry cleaners are often cheaper on the item itself but you carry the duvet there and back. Collection services either build the cost into the price or charge a delivery fee below a minimum order.

Most synthetic, feather and down duvets are better washed than dry cleaned: washing removes sweat and body oils, which is what you are trying to get out. Dry cleaning is right for silk and some wool duvets where the label says so. If a service dry cleans everything by default, ask why.
What our prices include
Our duvet cleaning runs from £25 for a single to £38 for a super king, whatever the filling. That includes the wash matched to the filling, the full dry, a check for damage, and a breathable bag. Collection and delivery are free on orders of £49 or more, which a couple of duvets and pillows usually reach.
How to avoid paying for a bad job
Ask how the duvet will be dried and for how long. A good answer mentions low heat and checking the filling is dry right through. Ask whether your items are washed separately from other customers'. And check what happens if it comes back with a smell or clumps: a decent service will re-clean it.

Questions
Good to know
Is it cheaper to use a launderette?
Per wash, yes. But a large-capacity wash and two to three hours of drying for a feather duvet adds up in coins and in your time, and an incomplete dry is the most common reason duvets come home smelling musty.
Do you charge extra for feather and down?
No. We price duvets by size, from £25 for a single to £38 for a super king, whatever the filling.
Is collection included?
Free on orders of £49 or more. Below that, collection and delivery is £8.
